But Samantha and her nanny are safe and sound. Gina extorts some money from Pamela in exchange for her silence concerning the fact that she remained hidden from police and from justice for weeks. To tranquilize Victoria who accuses him of sleeping with Julia in a hotel room, Mason explains to her that it is in fact the hiding place of his witness - due for a surprise in Cruz's trial. Jeffrey tells Kelly that his mother is alive. But when he learns that she is about to testify in the trial, he opposes to the decision, fearing that she finishes on the stand. But Kelly manages to reason with him. The trial continues, first with Sophia's evidence, who also assures that Cruz has never been the lover of Elena. Then Harold Jenkins, the witness who saw a veiled woman escaping by running from the Laser Palace the evening of murder gets on stand. Julia then announces the visit of this woman to the stand and Mason lets Pamela in. In front of an audience thunderstruck, she declines her identity and removes her veil finally...
