She fishes for information about Eric's close friend Tracy and is relieved to learn of the real reason for his recent visits with her. Eric explains to Sheila that Dr. Peters is going to run the paternity test and that, until he has the results, his personal life will be on hold. Realizing what hangs on the paternity of Brooke's baby, Sheila later calls Dr. Peters and re-confirms her offer to help out at the hospital's lab. Ridge and Taylor return home and find a mysterious letter which Taylor attributes to Brooke. Actually it is an invitation from Stephanie for Christmas. Darla unsuccessfully tries to cheer up Macy who is working late at night at the office. Thorne is touched by Karen's undertaking to bring him in the Christmas spirit.
