Paul is at Ada's place and she accuses him of wanting to kill Leslie. Nurse Choate introduces Betty to Claire. Betty and Claire talk and she makes clear she feels guilty for Elliot because of her father. She admits she is frightened and tells her she envies her. Meanwhile, Allison tells her mother she will never forgive her if Elliot dies. At the Morton house, Michael joins Robert for dinner. Claire has just received a letter from Dr. Vincent Markham in Peru, but she puts it away without opening it. Rod meets up with Paul at the tavern and he blames him for George trying to shoot Leslie.
