The millionaire's sympathies are aroused and he asks the court to place the girl in his custody. He discovers that the girl, Rose, has a beautiful voice and he sends her to Europe to study music. Saunders is engaged to a beautiful debutante, Alice Carson, when Rose returns from across the sea. Walter's friendship for his ward arouses the jealousy of Alice and she places her bracelet in Rose's bag and then announces that she has been robbed. It looks as though Justice will be defeated, but a clever detective uncovers enough evidence to convince Walter and unite Rose and the millionaire in the ties that nothing can sever.
