When Ben sees a half-naked man forced into a vehicle and subsequently into a flat across the street, he does the right thing and calls the police. They seem little interested and the reason is simple: it's the police who are holding and interrogating a suspected terrorist outside of the law. Despite their best efforts, there is a clear and consistent attempt to muzzle them. Ben is arrested, his previously handling of a personal injury lawsuit is leaked to the press in an effort to tarnish his reputation and eventually, his law firm suspends him.
