However she now finds herself on trial accused of perjury. The Prosecution claim that Miss Turner lied when she said in court that she was not soliciting on that occasion - she is a known prostitute and propositioned a man. She does not deny that she has worked that area as a prostitute and continues to engage in prostitution but says she no longer works the streets and her exchange with the man on that day was banter and not a sexual invitation.
