The hour approached; the crisis was at hand. They felt that her disconsolate lover could never live through it, and out of their despair a wild hope was born. Quickly the girl, so remarkably like Rose in face and figure, put on the wedding dress, and to the wild-eyed mourner there appeared a vision of his lost love. With a cry, he fainted.
