M. Pearl McGuire is kept hostage, but in her office shown the $250,000 Kathy brought because she got an e-mail from a firm employee that's the price for proof of Glen's innocence. Dan and Zoe are taken in confidence to help find the traitor. Dan quickly proves Kathy's 'gun' is a cigarette-lighter, but M takes her place and blocks the lift, determined to purge her staff. They all brainstorm, which proves hard. Hugh, who habitually makes passes at Zoe, now offers her double pay if she joins his spanking new detective agency.
