Land-girl Patricia is shocked to learn that Ronnie knows about Helen and Kiley but is doing nothing. Patricia forces a confrontation with the major,who tells her he loves Helen and believes the feeling is mutual. Nonetheless he promises Ronnie that he will apply for a transfer to another town.
