When he and Dan go to the hotel, his wife stays behind to fix things at the house. Later someone plants an explosive and blows the house up. Mitch is devastated. Later Dan learns that the explosive used is similar to what was used in Vietnam. So Dan thinks there may be a link to their time in Vietnam to what happened to Mitch's wife.
