When he 'returns' it to the native crooks gang of Turoc and Ta'eena, they try to eliminate the only witness who can ruin their planned land deal with an oil multinational. Ned escapes to LA, where his favorite niece Val still believes he's a Mountie hero. The crooks follow, and so does Yukon RCMP station sergeant Roarke, who wants to arrest 'rogue deserter' Ned.
