Quinn meets up with an old high school flame, Daelin, who helps in the escape despite a great loss to her. In the next world, Quinn sets her up with his double in Seattle after an abusive relationship. In the third world, they slide into a jail cell where they await trial for the murder of Daelin, an undercover policewoman. In this realm, clocks and blocks of time move backwards for them alone.
