Nasedo, who has been posing as Agent Pierce, returns from DC to help them, but discovers that there are far worse dangers among them. Meanwhile, Liz returns from a summer trip and takes a job in the local Congresswoman's office, a woman who is known to be suspicious of alien activity. Liz helps Max search for information about the mysterious element Cadmium X found in residue left on corpses killed by the aliens.
