Eventually the weapon is found and traced back to a man named Bruce Best and while he doesn't admit to doing it, he hints that he believes he did the right thing. That's when they learn that the man who was killed was into some illegal activities and also did something to someone Best cared about. So Cruz, Strickland, Harper, and Granger decide to cover it up.
