The cab driver taking her there fails to follow the route to Mannix' office, and then attempts to shoot her, but she is able to escape. Shaken, she manages to meet with Mannix, and asks him to figure out why someone is trying to kill her. Mannix places her in a trailer in a secluded location, and tries to get her to remember as many details as she can about her late boss, in order to figure out which of his former clients' business dealings might have put her in jeopardy for her life.
