Ann wants to visit psychiatrist Hugh Russell in an attempt to regain her memory, though Erik objects. Gerald Mace searches the Shepherds' bedroom. Sam Webber invites the Shepherds to his hotel, and while there, Ann meets Hugh Russell, convincing him to administer her sodium pentathol. Under the drug, Ann's memory returns. Ann and Erik are stunned to hear from Ann's controller that Donald Culley didn't work for British intelligence, and they're made an offer they want to refuse but can't.
