In a precursor to "Green Acres" (without a cast of zanies), Millie (Pat Breslin) expresses concern that her husband is working too hard to maintain the farm, as well as how much she misses life in the city. An old horse named Duke, who appears to be on his last leg, is central to the second half of this pilot. At the point where Duke appears near death, David does enough to revive the old boy. Seeing David's enthusiasm, Millie decides farm life agrees with the entire family. One oddity: Jimmy Hawkins, who had earlier been featured as Mary's boyfriend Scotty, appears as a farmhand named Jimmy. Written by Steve Beverly See less
