He "borrows" a suit of clothes from the clothesline, then makes love to a boardinghouse-keeping widow to secure real eats. All he must do to enjoy three square meals a day for the rest of his life is to marry her, but when the slavey cook mixes up two kettles and he gets a mouthful of soft soap instead of soup, he changes his mind. Willie gets some rough treatment from those who think he has hydrophobia, from which he is glad to escape, leaving behind a heartbroken widow and an upset boardinghouse.
