Smith goes out and a neighbor comes with her ...See moreSmith, a radio fan, is building a new receiving set in the living room while he keeps his son Arthur practicing on his violin upstairs by rapping with the hammer every time the boy stops. Smith goes out and a neighbor comes with her rampageous small daughter who takes the hammer and breaks the set. Arthur, hearing the hammering, goes diligently on with the fiddling. The baby steals a razor from the bath cabinet, cuts the strop and goes through the house slashing draperies. Arthur's girl 'phones him and the baby cuts the wire with the razor. He thinks she has hung up on him and is despondent until she arrives just in time to be offended by an angry remark addressed to the baby, but which she thinks was meant for her. Eddie, his rival, comes and kids him about the violin. The baby breaks the fiddle over Arthur's head and he thanks the child for the first good deed she has ever done, just as his father hands him a brand new fiddle which he has won in a raffle.
