On the way home from his office, Tomkins meets an acquaintance and tells him about the socks. Tomkins pulls off his shoe to demonstrate, places it on the rail near a viaduct, and inadvertently knocks the shoe off the rail. The shoe falls on the head of an Italian organ grinder who thinks it was thrown from an office window. The organ grinder rushes into the building looking for a person with one shoe. The shoe continues to be tossed about from one place to another. Tomkins follows it around, but eventually a tramp finds the shoe and throws it in the water. Written by scsu1975 See less
