Imogène Ledantec has come back to Plouguirec: she goes to the police station because of a transit fine: there she meets the new chief warrant officer and also a tourist of Paris, Auguste Mercier who tells to the police that he has seen an ...See moreImogène Ledantec has come back to Plouguirec: she goes to the police station because of a transit fine: there she meets the new chief warrant officer and also a tourist of Paris, Auguste Mercier who tells to the police that he has seen an apparition in the hotel.Then Imogène meets again Mercier at the "Café of the Navy",the man explains her that he has spoken with the apparition.Imogène goes later to the Hotel of England, the hotel owner says her that he has spoken with Mercier for a while and then Mercier went to his room.Imogène finds Mercier hanged at the clothes rack.The chief warrant officer arrives and calls the doctor who affirms that Mercier has received a hit on the head and then was hanged.The chief warrant officer arrests Imogène for a night and lets her free.Imogène receives the visit of the inspector Douglas and both agree about a stratagem: Imogène will tell to the people that Mercier told her the name of his murderer.In the night somebody tries to attack Imogène, but the chief warrant officer saves her life.At the police station she knows Ferdinandd Mulot, a journalist who wants to make a report on the case and they will collaborate in this investigation.
