Sonny retaliates by getting up "The Amusement Company, Limited," then getting all the boys to stay away from the picnic to attend the "10-Act Circus" to be given in his father's barn. Result: the only ones to attend the picnic are the girls, the Superintendent. Gerald Montague, the "goody-goody" boy and Teacher. "Goody" tells where the boys are and all troop over to the barn.
