Instead of running away, however, she goes to the house's owner and admits what she has done. The owner turns out to be Thomas Wade, a juvenile-court clerk whose sister Grace is a lonely invalid. She strikes up a friendship with Freckles, who comes to see her every day. One night Freckles' stepfather forces her to help him commit a robbery, and she is caught and sent to reform school. Concerned that her friend Grace's health will deteriorate, Freckles escapes from the reform school to see her. Complications ensue. Written by frankfob2@yahoo.com See less
