Fanny loves him but will leave him if he doesn't show up at the club, and Conchita wants to kill him for playing with her heart. To make matters worse Paquito's uncle sent word that he will come for a visit to see how Paquito has been doing with med school and also to meet his wife! Amable, Paquito's friend and room mate comes up with plans here and there to help his friend and himself out so that Paquito won't lose the inheritance his uncle promised to him, all the while avoiding thugs, thieves, and Fanny's uncle whom is set against her being with Paquito.
