She suspects the agent's intentions, however, and lays him low with a well-aimed blow. The brave girl then notifies the moonshiners of their danger. Red Eye Pete, one of the gang, attempts to steal the affections of Sue and is cruelly rebuked. To revenge himself Pete offers to lead the revenuers to the moonshiners if the girl will be delivered into his hands. His treacherous offer is accepted.
