They get good-paying job at a theater company--accidentally. Both fall in love with the theater company's heroine Chitra, but Chitra falls for Raj. Raj gets an exorbitant amount of wealth through a will, from a deceased distant relative. Raj goes to claim his wealth but falls into the trap of Rama and her father, who eye Raj's wealth. Dilip tries to warn Raj of this trap, but Raj won't listen. Devastated Chitra falls ill. Dilip, with a friend's help, plays a trick to make Raj understand Rama and her father's intentions.
