Through machinery trouble, Grace finds herself up to hubs in mud, and is assisted by a baseball pitcher who happens along in his Ford. While he is fixing the car, two crooks hold them up, and after being robbed, the baseball pitcher succeeds in not only overpowering the robbers, but also gets back his money and jewelry, which they took from him. How the baseball pitcher fought a duel with baseballs and proved to the girl that he was worthy of her, and how he exposed the Count as a faker, and proved he was also a crook and an associate of the hold-up men, is told in a breezy manner, in this picture.
