While the cat initially thinks the puppy is cute, he realizes that when the puppy grows up he will be much larger than the cat and torment him because dogs hate cats. The cat then imagines a chase in which the grown-up dog repeatedly gets the better of him, and when his thoughts return to the present day, he starts hitting the puppy with a fish.
