He is in deadly contest with Charles Melvin, independent candidate for governor. Melvin has a son, Hal, a fine looking and manly fellow, who is engaged to Clara Clark, a beautiful society girl. Melvin has a clean record, but he is the target for "The Wasp," who opposes him politically. "The Wasp" plans with unscrupulous hirelings to injure Melvin's candidacy by ruining the reputation of Hal, who has made such a thing possible by his big-hearted charity, and his visits to the tenement occupied by old man Collins and his daughter, Marie, who has made the mistake of loving not wisely, but too well. Dick Little, Secret Service operative, aided by Ruth Cahill, thwarts the plot. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
