Mabel waits till father falls asleep, then she goes to see what Fatty is so absorbed in. They share the book between them. A suitor, upon whom Mabel does not smile, wakes father, points out to him the two figures on the bench, and enlightens him as to what they are reading. They attack Fatty as a corrupter of innocence. He gives them back their medicine with a vengeance. Then he and Mabel dive off a high bridge into the river, climb out, and seating themselves comfortably on the opposite bank, go on with their story. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
