When I try to sign up, your system rejects my credit card. Why?

Our payment system may reject the credit card details you entered for a variety of reasons. Usually, the error message displayed on your screen should provide a hint about the nature of the problem.

If you get a message saying 'Invalid Card Type', it means that there is something wrong with the credit card number you entered and/or it doesn't match the card type. This usually happens when a wrong credit card type is selected (i.e. Visa instead of Mastercard or American Express) or when the credit card number has been typed incorrectly. Please double check the credit card number (watch for forgotten digits and make sure you omit spaces/dashes) and try again and it should work.

Also make sure the name, address and phone number you provided match the information on record at your bank or financial institution (usually the same address where you receive your monthly credit card statement).

If you are trying to sign up for a free trial, your credit card may be rejected if you already took advantage of a free trial account offer in the past using the same credit card. Our trial offer is limited to one per user: if your card has been used for a trial before, it can't be re-used for another. You will need to use a different credit card.

You can, however, reactivate your expired free trial and convert it into a new paying subscription by logging into your old account and going to our renew account page. If you forgot your IMDbPro.com password, you can get a new one at our forgotten password page.
