If you're an actor, director or other industry professional you may need to correct your listing. This page provides all the information to enable you to submit additions/corrections to your own credits.
Please note that these instructions are aimed to industry professionals only and to their authorized representatives (i.e. their agents, managers). Help for all other kinds of data submissions can be found in our regular
Adding and Correcting Data help
section.
To avoid any misunderstandings, please keep in mind the following before you
attempt to add or change your listing:
The IMDb is not a resume-publishing service. We collect and list
most types of film-related information but there are some kind of credits
that we don't list. For example we don't list appearances/work in music
video clips or commercials or stage plays. This type of information may be
listed in the "Other Works" section of a person's biographical information
but will not appear directly under his/her filmography.
The IMDb is a title-based database. What this means is that data
collected in the IMDb is centered around film titles, not individual
people's credits: we can only add credits to existing titles. If you have
worked on a film or TV movie that we don't list yet and want your filmography to reflect that, you need to add the new title before your
credit can be added to it.
The IMDb is not updated in real time. Any information submitted
to the IMDb won't appear immediately: it has to be checked and processed byh
our staff first. This means that any new info submitted through our
automated web-based forms may take 4/5 weeks before it appears
online (though the average wait is 2 weeks).
